Q: How many packs of hair do I need for a full head? Do you sell half packs?

On average, most people use 1 1/2 packs for a full pack of head. Some people want it extra full then they can get two.  Those that already have their hair style in cut can use one pack since the part that can be corn rowed is reduced due to the hair style (hair cut). Yes we sell half packs.

Q: Are the hair growth products strictly for African hair? Can a Caucasian use them?

A:  The products ( Virgin hair fertilizer etc ) are for every race, so yes Caucasian can use them

Q: Is virgin hair fertilizer just for Virgin hair or can it be used on all types of hair?

No virgin hair fertilizer is for all types of hair. The name is "Virgin hair fertilizer"  the virgin is to emphasis the fact that it promotes new hair growth hence it's not for virgin or natural hair alone.

Q: How long does this braids last?

A: These braids can last as long as 3 months up. You can wear your braids for a few weeks and decide to remove it  and use it again in the future. Since it doesn't take long to remove the hair. It's quite a  easy way out as many people love to have different looks all the time.

Q: How long are these braids?

A: The braids come in 12,14 and 16inches  long , once in a while we make some that are 18inches but for the most part it's usually 16 inches in length . Any one that wants a shorter braids can always trim the length to desired length. 18, 20 and 22 inches now Available

Q: Does this hair get bulky on the head? if so, Is there a way to avoid it?

A:  Since these braids are ultra tiny micro braids, they aren't bulky. The tinnier  braids are, the less weight  they have on the head.  Bigger braids tend to be generally bulky and heavy on the head but tiny micro braids are  very comfortable.  We also include  step by step pictures of our exclusive method of  adding these braids  in, such that you won't have any problem whatsoever with getting the braids on your head and having the same results as are seen in the pictures on this website

Q: Can I Curl the braids

A: Yes these braids can be curled.

Q: Do these braids break hair from wearing it for long time or from just wearing braids that tiny?

A: NO these braids are very safe. Your hair will feel right at home with the braids. There will be no breakage or tinning of any sort. Remember, your hair is not being picked strand by strand this time around, the braids sit on you corn-rolled hair.  It's the process of picking tiny strands of hair whilst braiding that brakes hair and since you wouldn't be doing that with African braids your hair is safe. As a matter of fact the braids will allow your hair to grow underneath it, as  you can treat your hair  with hair treatments, underneath the braids for months.

Q:  What type of hair are these braids made from?

A:  These hair are made from fiber hair. These hair is the one of the best available hair for durable and beautiful micro braiding

Q: What possible forms are there to buy and pay for goods purchased from you?

A:  We accept all major credit cards, ranging from Visa, American express, Discover, Mastercard, check card (with visa logo's) including but not limited to Cashier's check and Money order.

Q: I need some information before I order your braids. I need to know, are your ready to wear braids sowed on? and really how do it works? Does it come with an instruction booklet or sheet? Thank you

A: Yes the braids are sewn in with normal sewing thread and big needles. The braids come with an instruction sheet and  step by step pictures of how to sew it in an achieve impeccable results. How it works : your natural hair is plait or corn- roll as it's called here in the states, then the braids( which are already in weft (tracks) are sewn in unto your plaited hair and in 2 hours or less your braids are ready. The pictures are the best guides as every single movement is photographed. You can't miss the method once you sew the pictures. click on this button to see the picture process

Q11: I live in SF and would really like to get braids. I'm a white girl with shoulder length black and blue hair. Can you give me an idea of how much the hair and braiding might cost?

A: The hair is already braided as you can see in the pictures on the website. The braids cost $60.00 a pack you shouldn't worry about the color of your hair as the braids go over your hair. I usually use 1 pack of braids but for you I would suggest you buy 1 pack and half. This way you will be rest assured that the braids will be totally sufficient( go round your hair completely) one pack and half will cost $90.00.Although ,some people buy 2 packs ,but I do know that  they can't use the whole of two packs as such 1 pack and half will do justice. You don't need a professional braider or stylist to sew the braids in. Any body that can plait/corn roll hair can. It's not a big deal at all . That's the whole idea of the ready to weave micro braids) The braids come with a step by step photo of how to sew it in.  Your race doesn't matter ,that's why I used a white mannequin for sample on the website.

Q :After I buy the hair who can I find to attach the braids in Texas?

A :  Please refer to the highlighted answer  in Q12 above

Q:My name is Joya Shurmaker and have been braiding my hair in micro-braids for about a year now and before seeing your site I have never seen anything like your creation it's incredible I can't wait to get your product but I have one small problem I don't have a credit card and I feel that it is a little unfair that the people who don't have credit cards for suitable reasons be it because of they're age or any other reason cannot get the things they desire. Is there any other options in which I could pay you? would you be interested receiving a money order or would you like for me to wire you the money by western union it's very hard for me being only 17 I have no way of doing it right now but I am willing to do whatever it takes to receive your product may it be for you to raise there cost from 60 dollars to 80 dollars it doesn't matter, please contact me
Sincerely
Joya Shurmaker Chicago ill

Oils can not be returned for Hygiene purposes. All returning product must have a refund number. So email us to get a refund number.

Q: I'm a white girl who loves the look and classy style of micro braids. My  hair is medium thickness, shoulder length long layers and in good condition. Is the braids you offer suitable for me too or is it best left for African hair? Laurie

A :The braids are most definitely suitable for you. The light skinned woman on the front page of my website is not black. She is Puerto Rican. Yet the braids look good on her. The braids aren't heavy so they don't strain your scalp. Since they go over your already corn-rowed hair they have absolutely not adverse effect on your hair. The corn row serves as the foundation. I have several white customers only most times they want special color combinations or as in the case of the younger ones wild colors.

I had fine shoulder lenght hair. For some reason i wanted to do something different with my it, and i started to braid my hair, and you know braiding cost money. After five months, i decided to go natural. The problem is that i did not have the patience to let the perm out by itself, therefore i went to a barber shop and  barber gave  me  a low  hair cut. Now , i don't know what to do to make my hair grow faster, i am just trying everything.  At this moment i am using pantene prov and  infusium products.

Do you know a product that will make my natural hair grow faster because i am not used to my hair being short. I like it because it saves me  a lot off time but i want it  to grow  a little bit faster.

Please let me know if you can help.

 Armelle

A:  USe the Virgin hair fertilizer. It's the best bet for your situation.

Q; How are the braids sewn in ? Can I wash the braids before wearing them?

The braids are sewn in with needle and thread. This needle can be purchased at any local beauty supply. They each cost about 90cents. The hair doesn't necessarily need to be washed first before using it, but  washing it won't have a bad effect on it. Factly the hair goes through a washing process before being available for purchase

I'm very interested in your braids but I am wondering about the technique to put them in.  Could you please explain it to me? Is this something an amateur could do, or should it be done by a hairdresser?  What do you do to the person's real hair?

 Thanks for your help,

 Linda

Please refer to the how to attach page for the specifics on putting the braids in http://www.africanbraids.biz/how_to_attach_braids.htm   .  The braids can be put in by a total amateur. The braids come with step by step instruction booklet and are very easy to follow.

How long does it take to get the product once you have ordered them? I live in Michigan and have been trying for months to get my hair micro braided. It is very expensive to have it done. i belief that your product is just what i am looking for.

The braids are shipped within 24 hours and usually get to the customers place in 2 to 3 days  except if you life outside the continental US.

I live in Lynwood, IL. My husband purchased Virgin hair fertilizer  from an African lady at a hair salon. He was telling me it may be hard  to get again. So I will hate for it to work and can't find it anymore. If u r not in my area, when u do start to market it are u going to accept shipping orders?

Yes I do accept money order. Send it to

Hi Remi, my name is Rose. I just visited your web site and I'm surprised that there is somebody out there that has come up with something like this. I have always wanted micro braids, but the pain and time just didn't make me get them done. Now that I have seen this I think that I'm gonna order from you.
I have a question though. Can I get this done at a place that does hair braiding? I'm 5 months pregnant and you say that this can be done within 2 hours I would like to know if a hair braid place would do this for me? Should they charge me for bring in the braids and should I take them the instructions?
Rose
Manassas, VA

You should certainly take the instruction packs with you to the braid place and make sure they follow the instruction . Many a times I've had customers call from hair salon telling me they didn't follow my instruction and the hair didn't come out right and so what should they do? and my answer is always remove the hair and redo it but this time do it my way and not some egoistic hair dresser's way. Funny enough almost 90% of the people that buy these braids have their friends /families put them in and they always come out right.  The braid place will charge you some money to put the braids in as they also need to make a living but they shouldn't charge you too much. As I've always said find a friend/family that knows how to corn row to do it  for you.

Hi Remi,
I'm a white girl who loves the look and classy style of micro braids. My
hair is medium thickness, shoulder length long layers and in good condition. Is the braids you offer suitable for me too or is it best left for African hair?
Laurie

The braids does work for Caucasian /Asian hair as well. As I've said in the information on this website this braids doesn't have adverse effect. These braids are for diverse ethnicity. One of the women on the home page of this website is of a Puerto-Rican

I have a question regarding the micro braids. In doing the hair would i need to do it  by gluing or sew in. And how would I need to do the top of my hair? will I have to braid the top on my own. or what.

The braids are sewn in Only. You do not need to braid your own hair but if you chose to wear your braid in Pony tails all the time, you may want to manually braid the front of your hairline.

Hi, I was visiting your website and noticed that you're trying out Virgin Hair Fertilizer. I actually use it. Their website seems to be shut down. Do you have a phone number of where to purchase it? If you can give me any direction that would be appreciated.
Thanks.Nina

The Virgin hair fertilizer is now currently available for purchase starting from the 9th of June

Hey there. :)

I was just looking at your website, and am considering buying some of the micro braids.  I'm a bit hesitant, though, as I'm not sure if my hair is long enough to be able to attach them.  My hair is very short, about two inches long (it's white-girl hair, heh).  Would it still be possible to cornrow hair that short so as to attach the braids?

 Thanks for your time.

  -Diana

You hair can be corn rowed but only by a pro braider and she will need to add extra hair along the length of the corn row to ensure that the corn row stays/ holds.

HI Remi,
My name is Tyra, a college freshman at LSU. Go Tigers. I wanted to get
braids for spring break. I did a search on MSN for micro braids and your website was the first result to show up. The braids are so fascinating! My only questions are is their overnight shipping available and can you make the closed part on the side instead of the middle of the head? God bless you for your wonderful creation. You will help many a head :^)
Sincerely,Tyra

Yes there's Overnight shipping click on this link http://www.africanbraids.biz/express_shipping.htm  . Yes you can make the close part on the side or even zig zag if you wish.

Remi, I have been on your web site for about 1 week trying to figure out how much hair to purchase. I have a hair cut that is short in the back & wanted to know if hair should be added in before the weaving starts.

 Thanks in advance

RJL (Boston, MA)

Yes add hair along with your corn row if your hair is short.

Feel free to send in your questions .
