The following pictures will show you how and why our African braids looks exactly like your braids are plaited individually and  why this method of getting braids is the best as far as time ,money, prevention of hair loss and beauty goes.  (note that when you wear individual braids the old fashion way, there will come a point when your hair will start showing outside the original single braids  as this is one of the wear and tear encountered with braiding your hair in single individual piece)  and that is one of the very numerous advantages  ready to wear African braids has over  the regular braids. Your hair won't show since it's plaited below the braids and not along with the braids extensions

 1. Plait your natural hair all back   2 . Sew braids in, starting at the neckline up until just below the crown   3: Take tracks to the hairline  by sewing on top of the first roll of plaits

4: At the hairline , take the track of braids over to the next roll of  your plaited hair. Notice  how I cross over to the next roll of plait (picture 4) .  5: Take tracks back to base of crown  6:  Take track  to the other side of head  and take it towards the hairline just as done in step 3 above.  7:  cross the track over to the next roll of plaits and take track back to crown base

8; Take track  back to the other side and   then forward to the hair line on the next roll of plait . your hair should look like picture 10 at this stage

9. Take tracks across to the next roll of plaits  (notice how I always take the braids across). This system is what makes the final outcome of  our African braids unbeatable in appearance) by sewing this way, you will ensure that the braids flow in the right direction and cover every trace of you plaited hair beneath the braids.

 10. Finished (option 1)   you can either leave the tracks unclose or close as seen in the next pictures. I have worn my braids in these two different forms and I personally prefer the tracks closed. I think it lasts one or two weeks more longer if close. Well considering that I wear the braids for 3 straight months each time.
